San Francisco/Six Flags/Lake Tahoe

Chris and I needed a vacation from Utah, decided on a whim, to take a trip to San Francisco. We stopped at Lake Tahoe on the way back and rented some jet skis for a couple of hours on Lake Tahoe. The water was so blue; it was like the ocean. We were both amazed. We went to Six Flags on Saturday in Vallejo. This was the Six Flags Discovery with animals and shows. There was a short Cirque de Solei type program. And I was completely impressed. However, it was so hot! I had forgotten what it was like to play in weather with humidity. Once it hit about 3:00, it was more tolerable. On Friday, we drove around San Francisco, and stopped at Stanford University and looked up the "Full House" house. Chris took some pictures, but I don't have any. It was a lot of fun. I'm always hesitant to spend the money to take these really quick vacations, but it was much needed and well worth it. We watched quite a few movies on the way there and back...6 to be exact. :)

1-Year Anniversary

Though this post is a bit overdue....Chris and I celebrated our first anniversary on May 5. He got me these gorgeous roses. One rose for every month we have been married. We didn't really do much. I found a groupon and we went to dinner Carvers the day after since our anniversary was on a Sunday. I got Chris a new fossil watch and we just played together. In our first year of marriage, Chris started his MBA program (one year left!), we moved to Draper into a home, and Chris started working for Zion's. Since then, however, he has found a better job with OnStep Financial in Sandy. We feel very blessed to have a temple marriage and look forward to starting a new chapter in our lives!

Home Sweet Home

Chris and I found a house to lease to own in Draper in the middle of February. Our lease on our townhome was up in March so we jumped at the opportunity. We moved EVERYTHING ourselves. I'm a buff woman. Needless to say, I could not walk the next day and we will not be moving by ourselves ever again. We plan to eventually buy this home and have no plans to move into something else in the near future. I love this house! At first I was a little skeptical and scared because it was a little more than our townhome, but it has so much! All of our utilities are included except gas and power, the landscaping is contracted out, and we don't have to pay for Internet either. It has been completely worth it. I have added a little time to my commute, but I think it's worth it. Something for us to grow into with the little ones :)
